Week 1
For senior projects Essie, Thea, and I chose to work together as a cohort on a Capstone project. Our project is creating and selling pieces of clothing and jewelry. Essentially we're creating a business for a short period of time. I chose to be apart of this because I've always loved making art, over my years at Catlin art has always been my favorite class and this gave me an opportunity to build on one I've learned over time. I wanted to learn more about what it takes to sell products. This week was mostly dedicated to doing ground work such as setting up out work station, going on supply runs, and learning more about marketing. As well as figuring out who our target audience is and how we're going to peak their interest. My 3 long term goals for this project are:
1. Sell at least 3 clothing and jewelry items.
2. Strengthen my screen printing skills.
3. Learn more how to price items based on time, effort, and supplies needed to create.
Here is the logo I created for our business.
Nice logo! I look forward to seeing your designs! What are the main materials you will be working with?
ReplyDeleteHi Divine, It sounds like you are off to a great start! The logo is great, and I think the goals you have set will keep you busy. I'm looking forward to seeing your items. I hope you sell lots!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Divine! Excited to see how things develop and come together! Loving the logo and looking forward to following your progress. -Chris
ReplyDeleteExciting start, Divine! I'm curious whether your trifecta will collaborate on creating work or whether you'll operate separately while making pieces and then sell them jointly. Can you describe more about your groups' design process?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing some of your Divine inspirations. Hope you're having lots of fun, and are feeling free and self-employed.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I'm curious to learn how you three are sharing the work.
